Articles published in the Journal of Public Administration Science (JIANA) include both research and non-research manuscripts (analytical studies, theoretical applications, and reviews) addressing issues in public affairs, public policy, and public administration within governmental institutions, private organizations/companies, and society. Articles published in the journal are prioritized for research-based works that have not been and will not be submitted for publication in other printed media.
Manuscripts must be typed in double spacing in either Indonesian or English, on A4-sized paper, with a minimum length of 20 pages and a maximum of 40 pages, printed in three copies and accompanied by a diskette/CD. The manuscript file stored in the diskette or CD must be prepared using Microsoft Word and include the author’s name, article title, institutional address, postal code, and telephone/fax numbers. Manuscripts may also be submitted via the internet (computer diskette/CD) or by mail. Submissions must be received no later than one (1) month before the publication month and addressed to:

Heading Levels
Titles, subtitles, and sub-subtitles must be distinguished by different font types and should not use numbering.

Research Articles
Title. A maximum of 14 words in Indonesian or 10 words in English, clear and engaging.
Author’s Name. Include the full name and institutional address of the research activity, postal code, telephone/fax number, and correspondence details.
Abstract. A concise overview of the entire manuscript, covering the problem, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and significance. Written in English, with a maximum of 200 words.
Keywords. Contain key concepts in the article, written in English, consisting of 3 to 5 terms.
Introduction. (Without subtitles) Contains the background of the research problem, explanation and focus of the issue, research objectives, theoretical foundations, and previous research findings that support the problem-solving and objectives.
Methods. Explain the research procedures, including research design, population, sample, instruments, measurement scale, and data analysis techniques.
Results. Present clean data analysis results accompanied by illustrations (figures, photos, tables, and graphs).
Discussion. Interpret research findings and relate them to basic concepts, comparing them with theories, relevant studies, and their theoretical and practical implications. Critical analysis and synthesis are required.
Conclusion. Written in essay form, containing the essence of the relationship between results and discussion, not merely a summary.
Non-Research Articles
The title, author name, abstract, and keywords follow the same format as research articles.

Tables
Numbers and letters must use Times New Roman, 10-point font size. Abbreviations used in the table must be explained below the table.
Figures
Graphs must be a maximum width of 10.5 cm, created using Microsoft Excel. Numbers and caption text must use Times New Roman, 10-point font size.
References
At least 80% of the references should be from primary sources (journals, research reports, dissertations, theses, and undergraduate theses) rather than secondary sources (books, papers). At least 80% of the references should be from publications within the last 10 years, arranged alphabetically and chronologically.
Citations in the Article
Citations may be direct or indirect. Each citation must include the author’s name, year of publication, and page number.

Review and Editing
Proofreading will be conducted by expert editors in consultation with the author. Manuscripts already in the proof stage cannot be withdrawn by the author.
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be provided in writing. Authors whose articles are published will receive 2 offprint copies and 2 journal copies.
Authors whose articles are published in the journal will become regular subscribers for each publication.
